SOEMAN HS RIU LIBRARY

Soeman Hs is one of the storage library and national archives in the city of Pekanbaru with the status of provincial libraries. The Library has 6 floors built by the Riau provincial government to meet the public facilities of the library area at that time in Riau not yet have a building representative. With APBD Riau more than 150 billion is budgeted in the education movement, Riau Reading. Inaugurated by Vice President Jusuf Kalla in the year 2008. This library not only as a reading room, but also as an adequate public space for the wider community.

Unique design is inspired from the base of Al-Quran reading at a glance also similar to the book which is open and has complete facilities ranging from libraries, auditoriums, Malay culture chamber, the atrium, meeting rooms, internet room, mosque, cafes, canteens, etc. . E-Library became the National Pilot Project pilot library in Indonesia

Library name adapted from the poet figure Riau, (the late) Soeman Hs. Until now Soeman HS library, now a land markers and new icons Pekanbaru tourism can be visited daily to 1,000 people both from within and from outside the region itself
